UPLAND, Calif., February 29, 2016 – California conservative political leader Mike Schroeder, the former Chairman of the California Republican Party and President of the California Republican Assembly, announced today his endorsement of Republican candidate for Congress Sean Flynn (CA-31).
“At a time when the broken Washington establishment has abandoned Californians, Sean Flynn is the fresh-start we need looking out for us in Congress,” said Schroeder. “Imagine sending to Washington someone like Sean who has a real-world understanding of how businesses work and the economy is run. There couldn’t be a better time to have the author of Economics for Dummies in Congress!”
Since announcing his candidacy just last month, Sean’s campaign has achieved one success after another. Just last week, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) designated Sean one of 11 “On the Radar” candidates, the first level of the committee’s Young Guns program, for the 2016 election cycle.
“As someone who hasn’t been a career politician, it is incredibly humbling to have the support of a conservative leader like Mike Schroeder just as we’re getting this campaign started,” said Flynn. “It’s an incredibly encouraging show of support and there is nothing I take more seriously than when someone is willing to put their name next to mine in a show of public support. My only promise to Mike and to the coalition of support I am building is that I will do my part and live-up to their show of faith in my campaign.”
Sean completed a B.A. in economics at USC before going on to complete a Ph.D. in economics at U.C. Berkeley. Recognizing that unemployment in San Bernardino is far above the national average, Sean became a founding board member of Employment Means Success, an Inland Empire non-profit that finds jobs for discouraged and disabled workers.
